Hello Readers!
My name is Sami and I am a book blogger and avid reader. I have been OBSESSED with reading for as long as I can remember and a day never passes where I am not thinking about books. My desire to start a book blog has stemmed from the incredible experience I have had running my “bookstagram” account at @bookish.sami. If you love book photos and all things book chat, follow me there.
So, a little about me. Originally from California, now living in Oklahoma. I love long walks around indie bookstores, going to concerts (I love live music!), traveling to new cities I’ve never been to before, drinking chai tea lattes from local coffee shops, speaking fluent sarcasm, going to author events, reading in cozy spaces on rainy days, and impulsively dragging my husband on random adventures (normally to go see a Bucc-ee’s). Every day I am working to embrace and be proud of the person I am, and I encourage you to do the same! Never be afraid to be your most authentic self!

Growing up as a Navy brat, I was born in California and have lived in Connecticut, Washington, and Texas, and currently live in Oklahoma. I love dry sarcastic humor, pretty cocktails and fancy lattes. I know in the depths of my soul that the only thing that makes reading better is reading on a beach!

Hi, I’m Melissa!
I’ve always been passionate about reading, though like many book lovers, I had less time for it during undergrad and grad school. Over the past five years, I’ve rediscovered my love for books and all things bookish, and I couldn’t be happier about it! I’m a huge audiobook fan—I’d be lost without them! They make everyday tasks like getting ready for work, cooking, and cleaning so much more enjoyable. I also always have an ebook on hand, though when it comes to physical books, I’m more of a collector than a reader. What can I say? I’m a sucker for a gorgeous book! When I’m not reading or attending bookish events, I’m cozied up at home with my favorite people—one human and two fur babies. I also love traveling for kpop concerts, usually a couple of times a year, to see my favorite groups. This is my first time blogging (beyond the occasional Goodreads review), so be kind—I promise I’ll get better as I go!
