And just like that, the first month of 2025 is already in the books—literally! January was an incredible reading month for me, filled with new favorites, emotional rollercoasters, and, of course, my rereads of Fourth Wing and Iron Flame to prep for the highly anticipated release of Onyx Storm (which has been amazing so far!).

Let’s dive into the books I devoured this month and my thoughts on each one!

📚 What I Read in January

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ The Christmas Tree Farm – Laurie Gilmore
This book was pure holiday magic! A cozy, heartwarming romance with all the festive vibes I could ask for. Perfect for curling up with a cup of hot cocoa and getting lost in the winter wonderland of love.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✨ Earl Crush – Alexandra Vasti
Regency romance lovers, this one’s for you! A swoony slow burn with excellent banter and chemistry that kept me hooked. If you love a well-executed historical romance, definitely add this to your TBR!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Lights Out – Navessa Allen
Absolutely stunning! This book blew me away with its sharp writing, compelling characters, and a gripping story. I’m officially obsessed. Cannot wait for book 2!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Half King – Melissa Landers
A solid fantasy read with an intriguing world and great character development. It didn’t quite hit favorite status for me, but I still really enjoyed it and would recommend it to fantasy lovers! That ending!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Two Can Play – Ali Hazelwood
Ali Hazelwood never misses! This book had all the angst, spice, and swoon-worthy moments I love from her. If you’re into smart heroines and sizzling chemistry, this one’s a must-read.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Leather and Lark – Brynne Weaver
Dark, dangerous, and absolutely addictive! I couldn’t put this one down. The tension, the romance, the vibes—all perfection.

🔥 Rereads to Prep for Onyx Storm

Of course, I had to revisit Fourth Wing and Iron Flame by Rebecca Yarros to get ready for Onyx Storm. These books still hold a chokehold on my soul, and I regret nothing. Five stars, forever and always.

📖 Currently Reading

I’m deep into Onyx Storm right now, and wow, it’s been an amazing ride! Hoping to finish this weekend because I need to see how it all plays out.

I’m also about 80% through The Last Letter by Rebecca Yarros, and let me just say… this book is wrecking me. I have been bawling my eyes out, and I don’t think my heart will recover anytime soon.

Final Thoughts

January set the bar high for my 2025 reading year! I discovered new favorites, indulged in comforting rereads, and shed a few (okay, many) tears along the way. Can’t wait to see what February brings!
