Forgetting With You by Robin Clairvaux

A Sapphic Coming-Out Romance That Hits All the Right Notes

Our main characters, Cam and Jackie, are both in their 30s. Cam is a talented graphic designer who, after being passed over for a promotion, drowns her sorrows at a local bar. Jackie, a teacher and the daughter of a wealthy politician, is at the same bar to meet her boyfriend—hoping for a proposal—only for him to unexpectedly break up with her.

Cam witnesses the heartbreaking moment and decides to approach Jackie. One drink leads to another, and soon there’s banter, flirting, and a night of steamy fun at Cam’s place. The next morning, they both agree it was a one-night thing.

Fast forward: the two cross paths again when Jackie brings her class on a field trip to a place where Cam volunteers. They’re paired up to tour the facility, and by the end of the day, they’ve decided to be friends. Their friendship soon blossoms into something deeper—and hotter—as they fall into a passionate situationship.

But things aren’t so simple. Jackie is still coming to terms with her sexuality, while Cam has a history of being kept a secret in past relationships. When Jackie’s father falls ill, she leaves town and is hit with some shocking revelations that make her reevaluate everything—including her feelings for Cam. She reaches out for comfort, and though Cam is hesitant, she’s willing to give things a real shot.

However, things take a turn when Cam invites Jackie to a public event. Jackie agrees—only for them to run into her brother and his wife. Jackie’s reaction is less than ideal, and Cam realizes she can’t keep hiding. They part ways, but the story doesn’t end there.

This is a romance with a heartfelt HEA (happily ever after). We follow both women as they navigate personal struggles, heartbreak, growth, and eventually, the road back to each other.

I absolutely loved this story—from the characters to the plot to the spice. It all came together to create something truly special. I can’t wait to see what Robin writes next!

A simple night of forgetting. A connection that’s simply unforgettable.

Camryn Durant plays it safe. Since losing her heart to the wrong woman ten years ago, the shy graphic designer focuses on work and never takes risks. But when a chance meeting in a bar with a beautiful stranger turns into a night of reckless passion, Cam struggles to go back to her cautious habits, even though falling for a straight woman is bound to lead to emotional disaster.

Jackie Webster has no business questioning her sexuality. So why can’t the poised and predictable politician’s daughter stop thinking about the warm, adorable butch woman she hooked up with in an ill-advised moment of heartache? Getting closer to Cam means discovering herself in ways she never thought possible, but it can also mean losing her reputation, her relationship with her family, and the future she’s always wanted.

Each moment they spend together pushes them closer to an agonizing choice. Will they cling to security or reach for love?

Forgetting with You is a charming one-night-to-forever, toaster oven sapphic romance you’ll be sure to remember long after the story ends.
