First-Time Caller by B.K. Borison

I absolutely loved First-Time Caller by B.K. Borison! ❤️ From the very first scene where Lucie’s daughter calls into the Heartstrings radio romance hotline to get her mom some love — I was hooked. Like, how adorable is that?! And the fact that Aiden, the host, couldn’t get Lucie out of his head after the call? Swoon city. 🥰

One of my favorite things about this book was the family dynamic. Lucie co-parenting with her daughter’s dad and his partner — and them all living next door to each other — was so refreshing and sweet to see. It felt so healthy and supportive, and I loved how it was just normal in their world. Also, Lucie being a badass mechanic? YES, PLEASE. Pairing her with Aiden, the soft, sweet romance radio host, was such a fun dynamic and I ate it up.

The slow burn was everything. Like, the chemistry was simmering the whole time and when they finally got together? Whew. 🔥 Totally worth the wait. And I can’t not mention the Sleepless in Seattle vibes throughout the book — it was subtle but SO cute and made the story feel even more special.

If you love adorable meet cutes, slow burns that really pay off, and just the right amount of steam — First-Time Caller needs to be on your TBR immediately! 💕

Blurb:

A hopeless romantic meets a jaded radio host in this cozy, Sleepless in Seattle–inspired love story from beloved author B.K. Borison.

Aiden Valentine has a secret: he’s fallen out of love with love. And as the host of Baltimore’s romance hotline, that’s a bit of a problem. But when a young girl calls in to the station asking for dating advice for her mom, the interview goes viral, thrusting Aiden and Heartstrings into the limelight.

Lucie Stone thought she was doing just fine. She has a good job; an incredible family; and a smart, slightly devious kid. But when all of Baltimore is suddenly scrutinizing her love life—or lack thereof—she begins to question if she’s as happy as she believed. Maybe a little more romance wouldn’t be such a bad thing.

Everyone wants Lucie to find her happy ending…even the handsome, temperamental man calling the shots. But when sparks start to fly behind the scenes, Lucie must make the final decision between the radio-sponsored happily ever after or the man in the headphones next to her.
